Certification

Certification

The teachers at The Yoga Space are all certified Iyengar yoga teachers or they are training in our internationally-recognized Iyengar yoga teacher-training program.

The Certification Mark (above) is a trademark registered by our national Iyengar organization and may be used only by those teachers who have been trained, tested and approved by national Iyengar yoga certification assessors. Endorsed by B.K.S. Iyengar, the founder of Iyengar yoga, the certification mark denotes the teacher's authenticity and commitment to the Iyengar yoga system.

Our National Iyengar Yoga Association

The Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada/Association canadienne de yoga Iyengar (“IYAC/ACYI”) is the Iyengar family’s representative in Canada, and, among other things, has overall responsibility for the training, assessment and certification of Iyengar yoga teachers.

You can read more about our national association, IYAC/ACYI.

The annual deadline for new admissions into The Yoga Space Teacher Training Program is October 31 of each year.
