Answers to questions you may have...

Yes. We believe that the best way for a student’s yoga foundation to grow and to develop is to attend class consistently with the same teacher. This allows the teacher to get to know you, your abilities and challenges, and you will benefit from a progressive, structured learning environment. Registering for a full session also gives you the lowest price per class. If attending a full session is truly not possible for you, we do allow drop-ins if space in the class permits.

Given we are restricted to 9 students per class, some classes fill up quickly. If you want to do a makeup in a class that is marked as "Waitlist Only" and you proceed to try to register, please note that you are not registered in that class. You are on a waitlist. Do not attend the studio unless you hear from us.

If someone in that class cancels, you will be sent an email that will advise you that you have been moved from the waitlist to the class. We ask that you email us to confirm you plan to attend or if there is insufficient time to attend that you let us know that too. We can then move to the next person on the waitlist.

You can always check whether you are waitlisted or registered. See 'How can I check my account?' below.

Please note that you won't be able to independently cancel your attendance in a class, we have to do it. Just send us an email and we can do it for you.

1. Log into your account: click Fees menu and then select My Account.
2. Enter your email and password.
3. Click Sign In.
4. Click Schedule.

We have a very flexible make-up policy. If you miss one of your classes, you can make-up that class within the same session at your level of yoga or at a level lower if there is space in that class. Ideally, you would attend a class with your own teacher, but if that’s not possible you can attend any class that is appropriate for you. You can also do make-ups in anticipation of missing classes in the future within the same session but we will have to cancel your future attendance that you will miss before the class will free up, so please email us to let us know. You can do make-ups in either our in-studio or our virtual classes.

All classes expire at the end of each session, so make sure you do your make-ups before the end of the session.

Students are encouraged to make up classes with their regular teacher if space permits in their class. If this is not possible, classes can be made-up with other teachers in an appropriate level class if space permits in their class. All classes must be made up within the same session.

If you are unable to attend a class, you need to email us at least 12 hours before the class and we will cancel your attendance. If we have 12 hours’ notice, we will return your class to your studio account for use before the end of the session. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend the studio. Please email us (even within the 12 hours) and we will return your class to your account for use by the end of the session. We do require pre-registration, so you will need to register yourself in your make-up class or you can email us and we can do it for you. When you are doing a make-up class make sure you check in with the teacher at the beginning of class so they can talk with you about anything they would need to know about you. If you have a significant restriction (for example, if you have a heart condition or you’re pregnant), it is best to let us know in advance so we can let the teacher know before you attend.

You can register online with a Mastercard or Visa credit card-- just click on the Schedule tab above, click on the schedule for the current session, and find the class you want to register in. During the pandemic, pre-registration is required, and when registering, note whether the class indicates it’s “waitlist only”. If you register in a “waitlist only” class, you are not registered, you are on a waitlist. Please do not attend the class unless you hear from us first by email. Please note that we are unable to accept Visa debit cards, Mastercard debit cards, or any other debit card.

Yes, you can start classes anytime during the session if there is space in the class in which you want to register. You can call us or email us to ask about whether it would be better to register for a full session or to attend by drop-in until the end of the session. If you are registering part way into the session, you can do make-ups for the classes you’ve missed by doing a couple of classes a week if there is space in the classes you choose for make-ups.

If a student cannot attend any classes due a medical reason, we will place your remaining classes “on hold” until you are cleared by your medical professional to return to class. Otherwise, we do not give refunds.

Everyone is experiencing different types of stress during this pandemic, and sometimes multiple stressors. If you are experiencing significant COVID-19 related financial stress and cannot afford to pay the full price for classes, please email us. With the temporary closure of the studio, we are experiencing financial hardship too, and while we can’t guarantee free or discounted classes for everyone who asks, we will seriously consider your request and will try to make our classes as accessible as we can to all students of The Yoga Space.

If you are a student of The Yoga Space and you are a health care worker actively working now on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, email us and we will register you with a complimentary attendance to recognize your very hard work at this extremely challenging time.
